Our company history

From Höller to Bosch, Westdickenberg, Höfliger, and Laudenberg to the present day

The history of our pouch packaging technology goes back to 1910. The company Gebrüder Höller developed the first pouch filling machines back then. Over many decades, Gebrüder Höller developed into one of the leading packaging machine manufacturers. After being integrated into the Bosch company in 1965, the independent companies Westdickenberg, Höfliger, and Laudenberg were established in the years 1981-1983.

When SN Maschinenbau GmbH was founded in Lindlar in 2002, the company initially focused on the overhaul and repair of seed machines. At that time, the manufacture of new machines was still a rather subordinate branch of the business. A new era began when Olaf Clemens took over SN in 2008. He realigned the company, continuously expanded the workforce, and focused on developing innovative new machines for the food and pet food industry.

At the end of 2010, Olaf Clemens acquired the assets of Laudenberg Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH. In the following years, SN developed into one of the world's leading manufacturers of horizontal pouch packaging machines. With the accompanying move to the current company location in Wipperfürth, further milestones for success were laid.

SN Maschinenbau GmbH continued to develop pouch packaging technology and regularly created innovative and revolutionary packaging machines. Today, we are proud to employ around 300 highly qualified specialists at two locations in Wipperfürth and to be one of the world's leading manufacturers of horizontal pouch packaging machines.
